Our Charity Work

We at Bridgtown Concert Band pride ourselves on our charity work. Throughout the years we have provided support at local community events and charity concerts.

2019

Bridgtown Concert Band was proud to sponsor Pathway Project

Pathway Project is a local charity that works to support adults, young people and children, who are experiencing or affected by domestic abuse, by providing a range of high quality services, meeting the needs of abused adults and children, in a caring environment. Our support this year has helped raise £483.22 in total, to be used to aid the daily running and support for the people in need of their services.

If anyone feels they may need support from Pathway Project, they have a 24 hour helpline at 01543 686800, or more information can found on their website www.pathway-project.co.uk

2018

Bridgtown Concert Band was proud to celebrate our 25th anniversary!

In 2018 the band turned 25! As it was a special year for us we decided to dedicate the year to celebrating this milestone, performing throughout the district to raise money for the band, to be used for our celebration concert, new and different music, and the maintenance and upkeep of our instruments.

2017

Bridgtown Concert Band was proud to sponsor Stafford & District Stroke Club

Stafford & District Stroke Club provides a friendly atmosphere for people to make friends and do various activities, such as games, painting/craft, quizzes, weekly raffle, and exercise classes.

The money we raised supports these activities, days out, and transport for service users.

2016

Bridgtown Concert Band was proud to sponsor the One-Handed Musical Instrument Trust

The OHMI Trust was founded to challenge technologists and instrument makers to build one-handed instruments that can provide full and undifferentiated participation in musical life after they recognised that millions of people across the world who suffer from hand or arm deficiencies were excluded from music making due to a lack of suitable instruments. Through an international competition, the OHMI Trust can provide technical solutions that can have a profound impact not just on individuals lives, but on society’s relationship with disability.

2015

Bridgtown Concert Band was proud to sponsor the Blood Bikes

The Blood Bikes are a charitable organisation, staffed entirely by volunteers who run a blood and sample delivery service for our local NHS hospitals. In the past hospitals have used taxi and courier services for these urgent “out of hours” deliveries at the cost of, on average, £200 a run. Blood Bikes do it for free saving the local NHS trusts thousands of pounds a year.
